Cut the beef in strips and marinate with the finely chopped onion, garlic, olive oil, ginger lemon juice and chill for 15 minutes. In a heated pan, cook the onions till golden brown before adding in the sugar and butter and caramelize. Add the red wine and beef stock to the onions and reduce. Grill the beef strips in a separate griddle pan for 1 minute on each side and serve with the caramelized onions
