Start this recipe with the chocolate sauce. Place the cream and chocolate into a sauce pan and heat gently stirring constantly until the chocolate has melted. Remove off the heat and put to the side. Next make the pancake batter. Sift together the flour, cocoa, bicarbonate, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Stir in the sugar. Mix together the milk, eggs and melted butter in a jug and gradually whisk into the flour mixture until you have a smooth batter. Heat a pan with a little extra melted butter or oil and spoon in the batter in the shape of a heart. Fry for 30seconds to a minute on both sides. Remove from the pan and continue with the remaining batter. Once the pancakes are all cooked, you may use a heart shaped cutter to cut out a perfect heart shape from each pancake. To serve, stack 3 or 4 pancakes on top of each other, spreading the chocolate spread in between. Top with a good drizzle of chocolate sauce then crumble over the white chocolate bar, Maltesers and decorate with a sprinkle of the mini chocolate balls.
