Ginger and orange cookies


  • 125g butter
  • 350g self raising
  • Pinch flour
  • 200g caster sugar
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp bicarbonate soda
  • 75g golden syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp orange rind



Rub in all ingredients with golden syrup and egg at the end. Roll the dough in a roll and cut equally into 9 pieces or as desired. Place onto a baking tray and put them into a preheated oven of 190`c for 16 minutes. Leave to cool for some minutes and eat.
