Start this recipe by heating the oil in a saucepan. Meanwhile, prepare the bananas and batter. Cut the bananas in half horizontally and lengthways then put aside. Place the egg, vanilla essence and water in a small bowl and use a whisk to mix in the flour to make a smooth batter. Using a fork, dip each banana slice into the batter, roll it around and coat it with the batter. Immediately add the battered banana slices into the hot oil. Deep-fry, until they are golden brown and the batter is crispy (about 3 minutes). Remove the banana slices with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. To serve, arrange 4 pieces of banana on a plate with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. drizzle over the honey and sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.
