Crispy honey prawns


  • 200g flour
  • 1 egg
  • 50ml honey
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 200ml cold water
  • Japanese breadcrumbs
  • 24 prawns


Sieve the flour in a bowl and whisk with egg, honey, sesame oil, seasoning and cold water until you have a smooth paste. Set aside. Clean the prawns and leave whole or with a knife make a slit to make butterfly cut prawn. Pass through batter and then cover with bread crumbs. Deep fry until golden brown.
