Chocolate salami


  • 80g unsalted butter
  • 150ml fresh cream
  • 150g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 80g caster sugar
  • 180g morning coffee biscuits
  • 2 tbsp rum
  • 50g cocoa powder
  • 100g pure ground almonds
  • 50g roasted almonds
  • 50g roasted hazelnuts
  • 50g walnuts, broken
  • 50g pistachios


Start this recipe by melting together the butter, chocolate, fresh cream and sugar till smooth. Crush the biscuits leaving chunky, then place into a large bowl with all the remaining ingredients and the melted chocolate mixture.  Form into a large sausage shape and wrap up in cling film. Place into the fridge overnight. When ready to serve, remove the cling film, roll in icing sugar and cut into slices.
