Method

For the beef, heat the oil and quickly flash fry the beef strips for 1 minute then remove from the pan. Add in the garlic paste, ginger, chilli flakes, brown sugar and teriyaki sauce, 2 tbsp water and cook together for 2 minutes before adding the beef back in and cook for 1 minute. Remove off the heat. For the vegetables, heat the sesame oil in a pan and fry the onion and the minced garlic paste for 1 minute. Add in the pepper strips and cook for 2 minutes. Add in the mange tout, soy sauce and season well, cooking for just I minute further. So serve, spoon the cooked jasmine rice into bowls, top with the vegetable stir-fry then spoon the teriyaki beef on top. Garnish with the sliced spring onions and sesame seeds.
